Post the last book you've read.

It could be the last book you'll ever read, with Obama teaching our children his Socialist ways. Everyone knows Socialists hate reading.

I finished To Kill a Mockingbird for school. There wasn't enough racial slurs in it, IMHO.

I also read Tao Te Ching, a holy book of Taoism. Emptiness good. Other stuff bad.

Have you ever read dirk gentlys hollistic detective agency? Absolutely fantastic book, figured if you have been reading some douglas adams you should absolutely read that...

How can you read a hitchhikers story that wasnt written by DA though, its sacrilege surely? Whats the quality of the story like?

Last book i read was the first book in the dark materials trilogy.

The Golden Compass? I read those like, 6 years ago. I remember them being extremely original, and the last book is just a clusterfuck of apocalyptic and revelations-esque imagery.

Yeah, except it was called northern lights not the golden compass. Must be a different name for you yanks.

Am reading the second right now, you have me in anticipation of the third.

I loved the second one, and yeah the 3rd one takes a really ridiculous twist and goes all apocalyptic.

    Reading "Ordinary People".

It's not very good. The whole thing just seems like "BEING A TEENAGER IS SO HARD, PARENTS JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND" from the kid's POV and "I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND" from the parent's POV. It's like it was written by a 14-year-old.

Maybe it will get better. I have a feeling someone will die soon and they'll all get more sad and the kid will complain even more.

Just read George Orwell's "Animal Farm" earlier today. Was a surprising good read for the 2 hours it took.
