Alright, so here's what my Spring Break looks like:
Orchestra trip to Carnegie Hall on Wednesday night, we leave New York late on Easter Sunday. So my friend and I decided to make a little Pokemon Tournament. It includes 10 participants, we have well over two pages worth of rules, but short and see it looks like this:
DAY 1:
-Brand new file on a 2nd Gen Game.
-Every hour you fight one person.
-Every 3 Gyms or so, we have a tournament bracket.
When you fight in these tourneys and 1v1s, you get Seed Points. Seed Points are 1 point for every surviving Pokemon in your party plus every enemy Pokemon you KO'd.
LAST DAY: ELITE FOUR
-Bus Ride home.
-Top 4 are in the Elite Four and are guaranteed prize money ($2 entry fee)
-If champion, it gets split 5 ways, giving everyone a lesser cut.
That's a quick outline, there are some other special things such as Rival battles and Battle Tower Rule Duels, but what I'm really looking for is some game breaking strategies.
I'm DEFINITELY using Typhlosion, but I'm picking Chikorita and trading it to my friend who is playing who will be picking my Cyndaquil for trade EXP boost. I just plan on tanking. I'm going to only use my Cyndaquil and just boost until I one OHK everything in sight. However, I will be catching a ghastly at some point and making that my secondary, at least until I can get some Legendaries.
Here's my planned moveset for Typhlosion:
Flamethrower
Thunderpunch
Earthquake
Smokescreen
Holding leftovers.
Any tips? Btw, I'm playing on Crystal, and will be trading Lugia for Ho-oh when I get it.
